FILIPINA vlogger Abi Marquez who is famously known as ‘Lumpia Queen,’ is yet again nominated for another consecutive Webby Award.
Along with other internet food personalities such as Babish Culinary Universe, Jeremy Scheck, Olivia Teidemann, and Joshue Weissan, Abi is nominated under the ‘Creators – Individual Creator Food & Drink category.’
Abi Marquez became well-known for her recipe videos, with her recipes like sinigang and turning beef wellington into lumpia climbing to the top view on the internet. With her gained popularity, she too has collaborated with people in the food and showbiz industry such as Gordon Ramsay, Uncle Roger, and Saweetie.
Aside from the Webby Award that is selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), Abi is also up for the Webby People’s Voice Award, which is something won by public voting.
Adding to her nominations is the prestigious James Beard 2024 Media Awards’ social media account category.
Abi is the first Filipino to win a Webby and is named as the People’s Voice Winner in the General Social Food & Drink Category.
This year, the Webby Awards is set to take place for its 29th edition and will premiere a worldwide award that recognizes the top content creators on the internet.
Voting for the Webby People’s Award is up until April 17, and on April 12, the list of winners will be revealed. On May 12, New Yorl City will host the awarding ceremony.
