FILIPINOS continue to flock to their respective polling precincts to exercise their right to vote for the #BotoNgKabataan2025, or the 2025 National and Local Elections (NLE).
According to the Commission on Elections (Comelec), over 68 million voters are expected to participate in the 2025 polls. Senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and pregnant women were the first ones to vote as early as 5 a.m. Other voters can cast their ballots during regular voting hours, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Several celebrities voted early, showing off their index finger marked with indelible ink on their social media posts and encouraging Filipinos to vote wisely.
Here they are:
Heart Evangelista
Fashion icon Heart Evangelista voted on Monday morning at Buhatan Integrated School in Buhatan, Sorsogon. She was with her husband, Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero, who highlighted the significance of exercising one’s right to vote on his social media post.
Bea Binene
On Instagram, Kapuso actress Bea Binene shared a carousel of photos of her voting experience and urged others to vote for the right candidates.
“Bumoto ng tama. Bumoto para sa bayan. Bumoto para sa kinabukasan. Go out and vote, and when you do, please vote wisely,” she wrote.
Darren Espanto
Kapamilya singer-actor and television host Darren Espanto, meanwhile, shared on Instagram that he drove six and a half hours to vote at a polling precinct in Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya. On X (formerly Twitter), he greeted netizens and said, “Let’s choose to vote wisely!”
Kim Chiu
“It’s Showtime” host Kim Chiu advised eligible voters not to waste the opportunity to elect the right leaders who will help build a “better” and “more progressive” country.

Heaven Peralejo
Gen Z actress Heaven Peralejo also made sure to participate in the #BotoNgKabataan2025, saying, “We showed up. Now it’s your turn. Vote with your heart, vote for what matters. Vote wisely.”
Khalil Ramos
For his part, actor Khalil Ramos reminded voters to be extra careful when shading their ballots. On Instagram, he shared that his party-list vote was invalidated due to “overvoting” when he unintentionally left marks on the back of his ballot.
“I pressed a bit too hard on the first page, and it left marks on the back, right where the party list section was,” he narrated, warning voters not to make the same mistake.
Belle Mariano
Actress Belle Mariano, half of the “phenomenal Gen Z love team” DonBelle, also posted a photo of her inked finger and reminded the importance of one’s vote in this election.
“Your vote shapes the future,” she wrote.
Sharlene San Pedro
Gen Z actress Sharlene San Pedro made an appeal to voters as she posted a photo of her inked index finger on her Instagram story: “Gamitin ang utak sa pagboto utang na loob.” She also reminded netizens on X not to forget to vote for one party-list group on the back of their ballots.
Erwan Heussaff
Content creator and entrepreneur Erwan Heussaff, the husband of “It’s Showtime” host and actress Anne Curtis, shared on his Instagram story that he had already voted in the 2025 midterm elections, stressing the importance of doing so.
“Imagine each vote as an invitation to someone you’d want to host at home for a dinner party. The list will quickly write itself,” Heussaff advised.
Anne Curtis
Curtis also shared on Instagram that she had cast her vote, urging others to do their research on the candidates and “keep in mind those who truly have a heart for the country and people.”
