PHILIPPINE FIRST LADY, Liza Marcos, recently visited various notable sites in Metro Manila in preparation for ASEAN 2026 and the upcoming Philippine Independence Day 2025.
On Instagram, she shared various snaps of her looking at the rehabilitation progress of the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) for the upcoming ASEAN 2026.
“Dropped by the 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘊𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳 [𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐂] today to check the ongoing renovations in preparation for the 𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐍 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.” She wrote in the caption.
In the very same post, she also thanked the PICC teams and the ASEAN National Organizing Committee for their dedication in making the venue that reflects highly onto the hospitality of the country.
‘My heartfelt thanks to the efficient 𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐂 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 and to our 𝘈𝘚𝘌𝘈𝘕 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘖𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘦 for their dedication in making this landmark a venue that reflects not just our hospitality, but our strength, our progress and our vision for the region.”
Aside from PICC, she also dropped by Rizal Park and the Quirino Grandstand to check on the final touches for the upcoming Independence Day celebration this year.
“Despite the rain, the energy was unwavering — and it was heartening to see many familiar faces working tirelessly behind the scenes. Every small adjustment, every last-minute tweak can make all the difference,” she wrote in the caption.
She also thanked the Kalayaan team for their passion and commitment to the preparation for the upcoming events.
