K-POP idol groups IVE and RIIZE, along with K-pop soloist Onew, are among the Korean celebrities arriving in the Philippines this July 2024 for their highly anticipated events in Manila.
Shinee’s ONEW
Casting the first ‘dice’ of the month, Shinee’s leader and K-pop soloist Onew will charm Filipino Shawols in his “Guess!” fan meeting at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City, on July 4.
Onew is the leader of one of South Korea’s top boy groups beyond the second generation of K-pop, known for their catchy, addictive, and timeless hits “Replay,” “Ring Ding Dong,” and “View.”. In 2018, Onew debuted as a solo artist, polishing his name in the music industry through the albums “Blue,” “Dice,” and “O (Circle).”.
‘Running Man’ cast
Dashing next on the list is the cast of the longest-running variety show in South Korea, Running Man. Members Yoo Jae-seok, Haha, Jee Seok-jin, Kim Jong-kook, Song Ji-hyo, and Yang Se-chan will be racing once again with their fans in their “Run 2 U” fan meeting at Mall of Asia Arena on July 6.
Running Man is one of South Korea’s top variety shows due to the popularization of creative games. The cast’s chemistry is also one of the highlights of the show, at times featuring well-known co-celebrities.
OnlyOneOf
Someone’s only one, K-pop boy group OnlyOneOf, will be charming their LyOns for their “dOpamine” world tour at the Samsung Hall in SM Aura on July 7.
OnlyOneOf has amped up the 4th generation K-pop scene with their unconventional songs, “LibidO,” “Sage,” and “dOraa maar,” while also expressing cinematic and inclusive storylines about complex human emotions and identity.
IVE
Diving into the hearts of Filipino Dives, one of the back-to-back hitmakers in K-pop’s 4th generation groups, IVE will be visiting the Philippines for their “Show What I Have” world tour at Mall of Asia Arena on July 13.
IVE debuted in 2021, eventually making strides towards achieving South Korea’s prestigious Daesang awards at year-end music award shows with their succeeding title song, “Love Dive,” in 2022.
RIIZE
Blasting the siren, one of the pioneers in the 5th generation of K-pop boy groups, RIIZE will be arriving in the Philippines for their first fan-con tour, “RIIZING DAY,” at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City, on July 14.
RIIZE has been steadily rising in the current K-pop scene through their diverse-sounding and catchy popular hits, “Get A Guitar,” “Talk Saxy,” and “Love 119.”. As the youngest member, Anton of RIIZE says, “RIIZE will continue to rise” through their youthful charms and fresh music.
