The cast members of the South Korean reality show Idol Truck, including K-pop superstar Sandara Park, elated Filipino fans when they tried on traditional Philippine clothing during a visit to Clark, Pampanga.

The former 2NE1 member, who made her mark in Philippine showbiz before going to Korea, posed for photos with Jinu of K-pop boy band Winner, former NU’EST members Jonghyeon and Aron, and rapper DinDin while wearing barong.

The photos were apparently taken during their filming of Idol Truck in Clark.

Idol Truck is a show about supporting small and medium-sized businesses. In the show, Korean celebrities are divided into two teams, Philippines and Busan, which are tasked to promote and sell a variety of Korean products from small and medium-sized enterprises in the two locations.

In episode 13, the Philippine team went to a local boutique shop in a market in Clark, where they tried on the traditional Filipino clothing.

The Korean stars were also seen buying from a juice stand in the market and eating at a seafood restaurant.

Behind the scenes footage

Filipino netizens have shared on X some behind-the-scenes videos of the show’s filming.

In the clips that made the rounds online, the cast members were spotted visiting a local fast food chain and a cafe.

Other videos showed the group visiting a barangay where they handed out free snacks to children.

Park also reunited with comedian Vice Ganda when they filmed an episode of Idol Truck.

In June, Park shared on X how thrilled she was to visit Clark for the first time.

More about Idol Truck

Idol Truck can be streamed on the YouTube channel of SBS’ THE K-POP. The show currently has 14 episodes, with the latest one posted on August 17.

Other Korean stars in the program are Seunghoon, BX and Hyunseok of boy group CIX, Yeoreum and Dayoung of girl group WJSN, and former NU’EST member Baekho. These six artists form the Busan team.

Each team chose the Korean products that they would like to sell.

Among the items that the Philippine team picked were beauty products like face masks, sun cushion, and toner pads.

The Busan team, meanwhile, chose an anti-hair loss tonic, a hair dryer, a water jet cream, pouches, balms, nail polishes, and phone straps.

Park, who remains popular in the Philippines, was in Manila recently for the concert of a communications technology company, for which is the newest brand ambassador. She also revealed that she would collaborate with P-pop powerhouse SB19 for a “special project.”

She is expected to return to the Philippines for the upcoming music festival AWAKE: A New Beginning in September. She will share the stage with K-pop groups AB6IX, YOUNITE and VIVIZ, and dance groups 1MILLION and MB Crew.
