TOMORROW is President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s second year in office. Along with it, another “Konsyerto sa Palasyo” would be carried out, this time to pay honor to Filipino healthcare workers.
This year’s “Konsyerto sa Palasyo” is the fourth installment, with previous concerts honoring the country’s soldiers (April 2023), athletes (August 2023), and teachers (October 2023) respectively.
According to a Facebook post on Konsyerto sa Palasyo’s page, the main goal of the event is to provide a “pasasalamat at pagkilala sa kadakilaan at kabayanihan ng Filipino healthcare workers.”
Filipino health workers are world-renowned for their unshakable dedication, compassion, and perseverance. Their dedication to helping others crosses borders and obstacles, making them worldwide competitive.
Filipino health personnel exemplify it with their constant efforts to provide great care. They frequently labor long hours under difficult conditions, demonstrating a tremendous work ethic founded in a strong sense of duty and empathy.
Whether in crowded metropolis hospitals or remote rural clinics, their vigilance ensures that patients receive the care and treatment they deserve and require.
With that said, healthcare workers will be entertained by exceptional featured artists from Olongapo, Pampanga, Quezon City, Tacloban, and other performers from across the nation.
More than commemorating or paying tribute to healthcare professionals in the country, the President stated that the goal of launching the concert series is to showcase emerging local talents.
The event, which begins at 6:30 p.m., will feature Filipino singers Garret Bolden, Justin Taller, and Brenand Espartinez.
They are joined by theater artist Lara Maigue, Christel Galacan, a student at Leyte Normal University, and vocalist Alyn Magadia. The Ayta Brothers will also appear, representing the Ayta Magantsi tribe.
And, of course, the evening’s most anticipated performance is none other than Filipino music icon Martin Nievera, who will undoubtedly have the audience on their feet, singing their hearts out.
The concert will be streamed live on Facebook, including Radio Television Malacañang and Konsyerto sa Palasyo’s respective pages. Let us honor our country’s warriors and recognize their contributions.
