Kim Myungsoo to perform at Korea Travel Fiesta 2025

by Joanna Deala

SOUTH Korean idol and actor Kim Myungsoo, popularly known as L of the boy band INFINITE, will return to the Philippines for the Korea Travel Fiesta 2025.

The Korea Tourism Organization Manila Office announced on Facebook that Kim will be a special guest performer at the event, scheduled for August 30 at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall.

“Whether you’ve followed his journey through music and acting or are excited to see him perform for the first time — this is your chance to see Kim MyungSoo up close at the coolest Korean travel event of the year!” the organization said.

Admission to the travel event, which will run until August 31, is free.

The Korea Travel Fiesta 2025 is dedicated to promoting South Korea’s winter season to Filipino travelers. The event will showcase Korea’s top ski resorts and vibrant culture, as well as offer exclusive airfare and tour deals.

Attendees can look forward to more interactive activities like fun games, winter-themed experiences, Instagram-worthy photo zones, and live K-performances.

Aside from Kim, the cast of the musical adaptation of the hit Korean drama “Dream High” will grace the Korea Travel Fiesta 2025. The ensemble consists of singer SE7EN, actor Kim Dongjun from “About Time,” Lim Sejun of the boy group Victon, former Wonder Girls member Sunye, and musical actor Kim Dahyun.

PH engagements

Dubbed as “K-pop’s OG Visual King,” Kim has been stealing hearts since 2010 when he debuted as INFINITE’s vocalist.

He further gained traction when he was cast in the 2012 romantic comedy series “Flower Band,” portraying Lee Hyunsoo, a good-looking guitarist with a cold aura.

Kim has since starred in consecutive small-screen projects, including “The Emperor: Owner of the Mask,” “Ms. Hammurabi,” “Angel’s Last Mission: Love,” and “Dare to Love Me.”

In November 2024, the singer-actor went to the Philippines for a contract signing event with Universal Records Philippines and GLXY Entertainment, which will release his new songs and manage his other projects in the Philippines, respectively.

Before this, Kim held the Manila leg of his “REBOOT” Asia tour fan meeting at the New Frontier Theater in August 2024.
