EYES up— KATSEYE just dropped a teaser, and it’s already stealing hearts.
International girl group KATSEYE announced their new single ‘Gabriela’, with a nail-biting teaser to accompany it, featuring Hollywood actress Jessica Alba.
In the 24-second teaser, the members— Sophia, Manon, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae— are seen posing for a dramatic solo shot, reminiscent of a 1990s telenovela style.
They are singing “Hands off Gabriela,” in between shots. The video has an overall retro vibe. Towards the end of the teaser, Jessica Alba appears, making fans guess on what her role in the music video will be.
Gabriela is set to release on June 20, alongside its music video.
Meanwhile, the “GNARLY” singers are also preparing for their second extended play (EP), Beautiful Chaos, expected to be released on June 27.
Formed through a global talent search by HYBE and Geffen Records, KATSEYE brought together six young women from around the world — consisting of Filipino member Sophia, Korean member Yoonchae, American artists Megan, Lara, and Daniela, and Swiss-Ghanaian member Manon.
Their debut EP SIS (Soft Is Strong) dropped in August 2024, spawning breakout singles like Debut and the viral dance-pop hit Touch, the latter earning them a spot on the Billboard Hot 100 — a rare feat for a newly formed girl group with international roots.
