FOR the first time, K-pop idols S.Coups of boy group SEVENTEEN and Lisa of BLACKPINK graced the annual fundraiser and fashion’s biggest night, the Met Gala.

The 2025 Met Gala was held on Monday at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, with the theme of “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” Several biggest stars, including the two K-pop idols, were clad in elegant ensembles to honor Black Dandyism, a fashion style used by Black people for self-expression and to challenge stereotypes.

For his Met Gala debut, S.Coups came to the event in a monochromatic gray outfit, featuring a suit inspired by South Korea’s traditional hanbok and a loose-fitting, long coat.

S.Coups’ attire is from Boss, a luxury fashion label that appointed SEVENTEEN’s leader as its latest global ambassador.

Lisa, meanwhile, appeared at the 2025 Met Gala in her black Louis Vuitton bodysuit topped with a tailored blazer, and sheer tights. She completed her look with a high bun and a black LV purse.

More than being the “fashion’s biggest night out,” the Met Gala is a fundraising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.

Lisa was not the only BLACKPINK member present at the 2025 Met Gala. “Like Jennie” hitmaker Jennie and “APT.” singer Rosè also turned heads at the event with their stunning Chanel and YSL outfits, respectively.

Rosè, a Saint Laurent ambassador, went to the fashion’s biggest night in a sleek all-black suit from Saint Laurent and a dramatic shawl train.

This is Rosè’s first appearance at the event since her Met Gala debut in 2021, where she was clad in a chic black dress with a huge white bow across the chest.

Jennie, meanwhile, detailed in an interview with Vogue the inspiration behind her custom Chanel ensemble, saying she wore a tailored black jumpsuit and sculptural overskirt. She topped off her look with a two-toned boater hat.

“Everything was inspired by the 20s and the 30s of the Coco Chanel runway,” BLACKPINK’s rapper said, adding that she did her research about the 2025 Met Gala’s theme.

Jennie attended the 2024 Met Gala wearing a custom royal blue mini dress from Alaïa.

BLACKPINK is set to embark on a world tour this year. On what fans can expect from the girl group, Jennie said, “It’s BLACKPINK in your area, back, back again. And I can’t be the one spoiling everything, but it’s gonna be good and we all can’t wait to meet our fans.”

SEVENTEEN’s tour, new albums

Following the “RIGHT HERE” concert tour, SEVENTEEN previously announced that it would go on a new tour, although further details about it have yet to be revealed.

The 13-member boy group now gears up for the release of its fifth album, “Happy Burstday,” on May 26, in celebration of its 10th anniversary.

SEVENTEEN’s fans, collectively known as CARATs, will also expect a new unit single album and new content from their favorite idols.
