IT is a basketball match between South Korea and the Philippines!

Johnny Suh of K-pop boy group NCT and idol-actor Choi Minho of boy band SHINee are set to visit the Philippines to play in a basketball exhibition game against several Filipino celebrities.

Organized by a local clothing brand, “Shoot of Asia” is scheduled for October 26 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, featuring Team Korea Rising Eagles and Team Philippines Kuys Showtime.

Joining Johnny and Minho in Team Korea Rising Eagles are actors Su In, Eun Seok, Kim Taek, Dae Hee, Seung Hoon, Chan Woong, Kyu Min, and Tae Jin, as well as Jeong Jinwoon of the South Korean boy band 2AM.

Meanwhile, Team Philippines Kuys Showtime is composed of “It’s Showtime hosts Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, and Ion Perez, “The Voice Kids” coach Billy Crawford, actors David Licauco, JC de Vera, Wendell Ramos, Ronnie Alonte, and Dustin Yu, and Original Pinoy Music (OPM) singers Arthur Nery and Adie Garcia.

Former professional basketball player and “Knowing Brothers” member Janghoon Seo will serve as Team Korea Rising Eagles’ head coach, with Taepoong Chon as assistant coach.

Team Philippines Kuys Showtime will be coached by Beaujing Acot, alongside Julius Teruel and Baffy Acot as assistant coaches.

“Shoot of Asia” will also highlight special performances by global pop group HORI7ON, South Korean girl group Billlie, and Korean star Sandara Park.

Ticket prices

Ticket prices for the basketball exhibition game range from P800 for general admission, P2,200 for upper box, P3,300 for lower box, and P8,000 for patron.

Ticket selling for “Shoot of Asia” via SM Tickets is yet to be announced.
