A generation of wrestling is coming to an end.
John Cena, the leader of the “Cenation” announced that he was retiring from professional wrestling.
The said announcement was made by the World Wrestling Entertainment Inc.’s (WWE) post on Instagram.
Cena, a hero to a generation of children who are now young adults made an appearance at Money in the Bank in Toronto, Canada.
It was there that the 47-year-old wrestler made his announcement.
“Tonight, I officially announce my retirement from the WWE,” Cena said during his speech.
“I hear mixed opinions out there, a lot of questions maybe, right?” he added.
Cena is also known as an actor and a rapper.
He has starred in many movies, including the “The Suicide Squad,” “Peacemaker” and “Fast & Furious 9,” among others.
