Aielle had once more secured her title as the youngest jiu-jitsu champion after beating hometown bet Maitha Faraj in the gold medal match last Wednesday at the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship in the United Arab Emirates.
Aielle’s proud dad, Alvin Aguilar, penned a Facebook post about her daughter’s victory.
“Congratulations to my baby girl Aleia Aielle M. Aguilar for becoming a TWO TIME WORLD CHAMPION at the Abu Dhabi Pro World Championships at only 6 years old!!! All of your hard work, discipline and initiative to always do your best paid off once again!! We are all so proud of you!” wrote Alvin, who is known as the founding father of Filipino mixed martial arts.
Aielle is Alvin’s youngest daughter with former jiu-jitsu champion Maybelline Masuda.
Aielle was only five years old when she first became the world’s youngest jiu-jitsu champion in the 2022 Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Championships. She defeated Brazil’s Gabriela Vercosa by verbal submission in the final round to capture the gold in the kids’ 1 under-16kg event.
Well done, Aielle!
