Jessie J reveals breast cancer surgery in new post

by Rescel Ocampo

BRITISH pop star Jessie J has undergone breast surgery after being diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer.

In an emotional Instagram post, the “Price Tag” singer opened up about the “honest lows and highs of the last 48 hours,” sharing photos from the hospital with her partner Chanan Colman and their son, Sky.

“I will always show the good and hard bits of any journey I go through,” captioned the singer.

“Grateful to my doctor / surgeon and all the nurses who cared for me and all my family / friends who came to visit.”

Jessie shared that she is now recovering at home and awaiting further results.

“Still hugging everyone going through something tough right now. We all got this!” she added.

Earlier this month, the singer publicly revealed her diagnosis, saying she discovered the cancer before releasing her recent single, “No Secrets”.

She had also informed fans that she planned to “disappear for a bit” after her performance at the Summertime Ball to undergo surgery.

Jessie J has long been candid about her health. In 2021, she shared she had been diagnosed with Ménière’s disease, a condition affecting the inner ear, and later experienced vocal cord issues that impacted her ability to perform.

In 2022, she publicly spoke about her miscarriage, and welcomed her first child in May 2023.

The singer continues to receive messages of support from fans and fellow artists worldwide, applauding her openness and resilience.
