MOVIEGOERS will soon witness the onscreen chemistry between Filipina actress Janella Salvador and Thai actor Win Metawin as their first-ever big screen project finally unveiled its official teaser.
28 Squared Studios opened the love month with the release of the 1 min 10 sec teaser of “Under Parallel Skies” on social media.
The clip features Salvador pulling Metawin from the rooftop railing, thinking that he would jump. But Metawin, who appeared to be drunk, told her that he was not going to jump but, instead, fly because he’s a “bird.”
The teaser transitions to the scene where a woman tells Metawin to never let go of his happiness once he finds it, as scenes of them enjoying each other’s company flash on screen.
A voiceover of Salvador could then be heard in the background, saying, “It’s a sign that good things never last.” But Metawin told her that “good things may come to an end, but new good things will arise from endings.”
The two shared a kiss toward the end of the clip.
“Under Parallel Skies” is written and directed by Sigrid Bernardo and produced by 28 Squared Studios and Two Infinity Entertainment.
The movie is set to premiere in April 2024.
What it’s about
It was in July 2023 when it was announced that Salvador and Metawin would star in the film.
According to ABS-CBN News, “Under Parallel Skies” will center on a young man who is trying to move on from his painful past. He later meets a woman who has a connection to his past.
The movie was filmed in Hong Kong. It is both in English and Thai, based on the teaser.
Through “Under Parallel Skies,” Bernardo told ABS-CBN that he “aims to create a film that celebrates the unique identities and traditions of each culture while also exploring common themes and experiences that unite us as human beings.”
Metawin’s character in the film is named Buniparin, as shown in the teaser. Salvador’s character name, on the other hand, has yet to be unveiled.
28 Squared Studios previously released first-look photos of the two stars for their forthcoming movie.

Good chemistry between the actors, natural acting, fluent English. I'm delighted that Win has stepped out of his comfort zone, it suits him so well.
