While further details about the album, including the tracks, are yet to be revealed, South Korean media outlet Soompi previously reported that Astro’s Cha Eun-woo would be featured in IU’s forthcoming music video.
The “Flower Bookmark” album series features IU’s remake of classic Korean songs. The first part of the cover extended play (EP) was first released on May 16, 2014. Meanwhile, the second installment was made available on September 22, 2017.
IU, one of the beloved singers and actresses of her generation, is known for her hit songs “Blueming,” “Palette,” “Celebrity,” and “BBIBBI,” among others.
She recently reunited with South Korean rapper G-Dragon to perform the 2025 version of “Palette” in an episode of her talk show on YouTube. The song featured a new rap verse written by G-Dragon.
Apart from her angelic vocals, IU is also known for her acting chops, which earned her multiple awards and nominations. She starred in several hit K-dramas such as “Dream High,” “The Producers,” “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo,” “My Mister,” “Hotel del Luna,” and the most recent “When Life Gives You Tangerines” that aired on the popular streaming platform Netflix.
The 2025 romance slice-of-life series won big at the 61st Baeksang Awards, one of the prestigious award ceremonies in South Korea. “When Life Gives You Tangerines” was named Best Drama, Best Screenplay for Lim Sang Choon, Best Supporting Actor for Choi Dae Hoon, and Best Supporting Actress for Yeom Hye Ran.
