‘Its Showtime’ debuts on GMA

THE Kapamilya noon-time show ‘It’s Showtime’ opens a new chapter as their show started airing on GMA Networks this Saturday.  

As they made their television history—It’s Showtime first started their program on GMA Network with a bang. The program starts with a 30-minute memorable performance featuring all of Its Showtime hosts who unleash their very own talents on stage.  

The first host to open the program is one of Its Showtime OG hosts–Anne Curtis. She opened the show with a grand entrance dressed like royalty while covering Little Mix’s “Power.”  

Next to perform on stage is Karylle, who took an extra step by unleashing her rapping skills as she showed her flexibility and dancing skills 

Kim Chui’s aerial performance got all the Madlang Kapuso screaming and hyped up but she didn’t stop there as she later had a separate dance number on stage right after. 

Meanwhile, It’s Showtime three lovely ladies Amy Perez, Jackie Gonzaga, and Cianne Dominguez had their elegant and energetic dance performance on stage. 

As for the show’s rockstars, Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz performed Robbie Williams “Let Me Entertain You,” as they started the second performance. 

MC, Lassy, Ryan Bang, and Ion Perez put a smile on the audience’s faces as they unleashed their dance moves. 

Two of the Philippines’ best singers Ogie Alcasid and Darren Espanto showed off their vocal talent on a rock song with Darren later impressing the audience with his epic whistle. 

Two of Its Showtime OG hosts Vhong Navarro and Jhong Hilario proves that they are still the dance kings with Jhong flaunting his breakdancing and backflips as Vhong pop and lock to the beats. 

Last but not least, Vice Ganda celebrated her 48th birthday celebration with a music video. Through the use of greenscreen, he opened his performance on the top of GMA Network’s building with Cranberries’ “Dreams.” 

The performance was later followed with the theme of Egyptian goddess with his performance through Imagine Dragon’s “Thunder,” and “Hall of Fame” by The Script. 

Vice Ganda’s performance finishes off with DJ Khaled’s “All I Do is Win” with the rest of the hosts. 

After singing the theme song for the show, the hosts were able to finally close the distance with their Madlang Kapuso. 

Vhong formally presented themselves to the Kapuso audience, and Vice thanked the executives of the GMA Network while also welcoming the ABS-CBN executives who attended the premiere. 

With the rest of the It’s Showtime cast, Vice Ganda swore to make the show’s viewers happy every day. 

Aside from the host’s epic performances, GMA Network’s talents had also participated in the program including Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee, Gabbie Garcia, Mark Bautista, Christian Bautista, Jake Vargas, Mikee Quintos, Nadine Samonte, and Lapillus’ Chanty.  

‘Its Showtime’ premier had also become a talk amongst netizens with it being one of the top trending topics on X (formerly Twitter.) 

1Netizens on X also had their reactions to the program’s premiere on the network. 

LionhearTV.net made a post on the trend of the show’s premiere, sharing the outstanding victory in the online concurrent viewership game, which drew nearly half a million live viewers across ABS-CBN and GMA pages on YouTube and Facebook upon the program’s airing.
