MANY local celebrities made sure to celebrate Halloween with a bang, showing that there are many different ways in which one can have fun.
If you haven’t yet caught up, here are some of the things your favorite celebrities were up to during this spooky season.
Work, travel mode
For some celebrities, Halloween was a day like any other.
Judy Ann Santos and her husband Ryan Agoncillo, for example, celebrated Halloween by working at their restaurant, “Angrydobo”. Here, they posted a Happy Hour promo on their page, which stated that proceeds from their event would go to the victims of Typhoon Kristine.
Other celebrities chose to keep things intimate by throwing parties at home, such as Mariel Padilla.
Meanwhile, there were also those who chose not to partake in Halloween at all for 2024. Including Andrea Brillantes, who is often known for having the most “pasabog” costumes during Halloween.
This year, however, she posted to her Instagram story saying: “So ang pasabog at pinaka-scariest costume ko ay… wala. Literal na igho-ghost ko kayo. Wala akong pasabog this year, out of the country ako right now.”
Barbie Forteza is doing the same, celebrating Halloween while in Chicago, but still posting a simple and cute costume photo as Mike Wazowski from “Monsters, Inc.”.
Dance the night away
While others chose to work on Halloween or skip it entirely, of course, there were those who chose to attend some of the biggest parties of the year to don their costumes and dance the night away.
One such event held last 31 was the 3rd Opulence Ball, the most anticipated Halloween Ball founded by Raymond Gutierrez. The theme for this year? “Velvet Underground”, a throwback to all things 70s and disco-esque.
Just some celebrities in attendance were Maymay Entrata, Miss Universe 2022’s R’Bonney Gabriel, Donny Pangilinan, Belle Mariano, Marina Summers, Sassa Gurl, Hannah Pangilinan, Bubbles Paraiso, Nicole Andersson, Kylie Verzosa Barbie Imperial, Chie Filomeno, Maris Racal, Ruffa Mae Quinto, and of course, Gutierrez’s family, Ruffa Gutierrez, Richard Gutierrez, Annabelle Rama, and Eddie Gutierrez.
The Opulence Ball wasn’t the only event celebrities were attending, however. Just the night prior, everyone was showing off their costumes at the 2024 Shake Rattle & Ball, wherein the theme was “Cirque”.
Celebrities didn’t disappoint as they came to the event dressed in their best perya garments, with some in attendance being Tim Yap, Kris Bernal, Zymbading, Carlos Yulo, Chloe San Jose, Khianna, Roxie Smith, Skye Chua, Shuvee Etrata, Ashley Ortega, Samantha Bernardo, Tita Baby, Myx Chanel, Therese Malvar, Janeena Chan, Hayden Kho, Arar Pascual, Niccolo Cosme, Sash Crisostomo, Vicki Belo, Martin de Leon, Jake Galvez, J Quinn, Evan Tan, Vina Morales, Geraldine Rivera, Ella Cristofani, Vanessa Peña, Elle Mendoza, Laurence Evangelista, Yudipota, Donny Pangilinan, Hannah Pangilinan, Crystal Paras, Liana Castillo, L.A. Aguinaldo, Jayda Avanzado, and Davidson Faustino, among others.
Meanwhile, some celebrities stole the show simply by posting their stunning costumes online, such as Rhian Ramos copying a variety of Taylor Swift’s iconic album covers, Michelle Dee dressing as Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” persona, Cassy Legaspi dressing up as Alwina from the series “Mulawin”, and Kyline Alcantara stunning with as a mambabarang.
No matter how celebrities may have celebrated their Halloween, one thing is for sure: they definitely had fun. Hopefully, you all did too!
