HORI7ON to hold second solo concert in November

by Joanna Deala

ALMOST a year after their first concert, Filipino global pop group HORI7ON is set to return to the concert stage—this time, in a bigger venue.

The boy group—composed of Vinci, Kim, Kyler, Reyster, Winston, Jeromy, and Marcus—surprised their fans, collectively known as Anchors, by announcing their second solo concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on November 3.

HORI7ON said this following their performance at the “Watsons Playlist: P-pop Power Concert,” held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena and attended by several P-pop groups including SB19, ALAMAT, KAIA, and G22.

“[On] November 3, we’re gonna come back to the same arena, and hopefully come back with the same people. Gusto niyo ba kaming makita sa November 3?” Marcus asked, to which their fans answered in the affirmative.

“Kasi hanggang November 2, dito kami matutulog. Kanya-kanya kaming spot jan. So, linisin niyo pagkaalis niyo ha?” Vinci jested. “Thank you guys so much for supporting HORI7ON until now.”

The global pop group first staged their solo concert in September 2023 at the Araneta Coliseum, titled “HORI7ON 1st Concert: Friend-SHIP [Voyage To Manila].”

During the musical event of the pharmaceutical company, HORI7ON hyped the audience with their energetic performances of “Meteor,” “SIX7EEN,” “Dash,” and their new single “Sumayaw Sumunod.”

About ‘Sumayaw Sumunod’

Released on August 13, “Sumayaw Sumunod” is HORI7ON’s rendition of the iconic song of the same name by legendary Filipino band The Boyfriends in 1978.

The reimagined “Sumayaw Sumunod” showcased refreshing melodies to represent the septet’s youthful energy and charisma.

The summer song has two versions: one is written in a mix of Tagalog, English, and Korean lyrics, while the other is written in a mix of Tagalog and English lyrics.

Two music videos accompanied these two versions, which featured HORI7ON enjoying their school life.

“Sumayaw Sumunod” followed the release of the digital single “Lucky” in March, the group’s first song for 2024.
