WHEN it comes to naming his animal friends, Bretman Rock gets witty with it and gives it a Filipino touch.
In a TikTok post, the Filipino-American social media star shared a video showing his pet turtles in a race.
“We got Mura on the right and Mahal on the right,” he said.
He apparently named them after two diminutive Filipino comedians Mura (Allan Padua) and Mahal (Noemi Tesorero).
They became popular in the 2000s and the early 2010s, appearing in sitcomes and movies. Mahal passed away in 2021.
In the end of Bretman’s video, Mura is seen winning the race, with Bretman Rock stating, “I really thought Mahal is gonna win.”
