GIRD your loins as cult classic The Devil Wears Prada will be back for a sequel!

Details remain unclear regarding the much anticipated second installment; but Meryl Streep, who played the iconic Miranda Priestly, is expected to return, together with Emily Blunt, who portrayed her snobbish British assistant, Emily Charlton.

Reports also teased that the sequel will revolve around Miranda and her struggles maintaining her magazine in the declining print industry.

The first movie concluded with Emily back as Miranda’s first assistant but it seems like in the next film, she will be successful on her own merit as an executive of a luxury group.

Part of the trio and the main actor in the OG movie as Andy Sachs, Anne Hathaway, however have no confirmation or even rumor about her return. It can be remembered that the actress announced that Princess Diaries 3 is in the works in 2024 and it may conflict with the filming of The Devil Wears Prada 2.

In a separate interview, Stanley Tucci said he knew that people are working to have a sequel and he is more than willing to play his character Nigel again.

For those waiting for the movie’s release, it will feel like time is moving at a glacial pace as it is anticipated to come out on May 1, 2026.
