A crowd favorite, Dwight Ramos has proven himself as a reliable member of the Gilas Pilipinas since he joined the team in 2020.

Both good on offense and defense, this 24-year-old Filipino-American standout even earned the moniker ”Saint Dwight.”

Ramos has participated in every Gilas game leading up to the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, which the Philippines is co-hosting with Japan and Indonesia, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the flag and the team.

He played in seven games at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 Asian Qualifiers, recording averages of 13.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists.

”The 1.93M (6’4”) guard isn’t a vocal leader, but he leads by example where he puts in high-level effort with high-level results, which makes it a no-brainer why the Gilas coaching staff always has him listed to represent the country,” according to an article posted on the FIBA website.

Ramos turned professional in 2021 after deciding to part ways with UAAP champion Ateneo de Manila University as the tournament remained suspended at the time due to COVID-19 restrictions.

He now plays for Japan B. League Division I squad Levanga Hokkaido.
