GERALD Anderson and Julia Barretto are no longer a couple, their respective agencies confirmed on Thursday, September 18.
Viva Artists Agency (VAA) and Star Magic issued separate statements, revealing that their talents, Barretto and Anderson, respectively, have “mutually” decided to end their relationship.
The agencies asked the public to respect the ex-couple’s decision and refrain from spreading false rumors about their split.
“The circulating speculations in recent weeks regarding the reason for their breakup are unfounded and baseless,” VAA’s statement read.
“We emphasize that only information coming directly from Julia or Gerald should be regarded as accurate, as they are the primary parties involved. Any other claims are merely attempts to ride on the issue or to spread false information,” it added.
Meanwhile, the former couple also extended their gratitude to their fans and friends for their love and support.
The breakup comes after Anderson and Barretto confirmed their relationship in March 2021, with Anderson revealing the real score between him and Barretto through an interview with Boy Abunda, saying he was “very happy” with the actress.
They made their relationship public after Barretto denied any involvement in Anderson’s controversial breakup with actress Bea Alonzo in 2019. In the same year, Anderson and Barretto starred in the romantic drama film “Between Maybes.”
In an episode of Toni Gonzaga’s “Toni Talks” in June 2025, Anderson squashed rumors that he and Barretto had broken up, stressing that they were “okay.”
