In her now viral video, she said that “This place is a maze. It is a death trap”. Filipino mall goers had a long history of getting lost to Glorietta due to its confusing layout.
Her video started by saying, “To the architect who designed the Glorietta malls, I want your name and phone number because I have beef with you.”
“I need help. If you don’t hear from me again, please send a rescue mission to the Glorietta Malls,” she joked.
Julie finally made her way out, heading to the separate building of Glorietta 5.

Glorietta is divided into five quads. Glorietta 1-4 is connected to each other while Glorietta 5 is detached and added only last 2009.
Glorietta 1-4 features five levels while Glorietta 5 has three levels and five levels of BPO offices. Adding nearby malls (Greenbelt, SM Makati, The Landmark, Rustan’s Makati) and integration of three hotels (Holiday Inn, Ascott, and Fairmont). Recently, One Ayala was added to make it more confusing to navigate Glorietta for first-timers or even anyone who’s directionally challenged.
Netizens considered Glorietta as one of the most confusing malls in the country. These are the following malls that Netizens consider the most confusing:
Glorietta
As said earlier, this mall is a daunting place due to its being integrated with Greenbelt, Landmark, Rustan’s Makati, and SM Makati. Enter one wrong wing then you might get lost to the maze. Netizens jokingly said that “Magbaligtad ng t shirt kapag nasa Glorietta”.
Trinoma
Netizens described this mall as the ‘Bermuda Triangle’. Its layout is like a maze with a center area that branches out.
SM Mall of Asia
Mall of Asia might be only big and could be easily navigable but internet users say ‘no’ as this was the third-largest mall in Asia. This mall is confusing due to its size and you could enter the wrong parking or entrance.
SM North Edsa
This mall might be a big rectangle but it was still hard to navigate. Netizens advise that you just need to follow the signs so as not to get lost.
Robinsons Place Manila
This mall has three wings which are Padre Faura wing, Midtown wing, and Pedro Gil wing. It was connected to two condominiums which are Robinsons Place and Adriatico Place residences. With this mall goers having a hard time to navigate the mall’s structure.
Malls have been part of Filipinos’ way to unwind as this was one of the public places where they could have entertainment. But there are malls that could be confusing and could be frustrating to navigate.
