ANOTHER Filipina drag queen will conquer the international drag scene. This time, Karna Ford will represent Filipino drag as she joins the fourth season of “Drag Race Down Under.”
Based on the American reality competition series of the same name, “Drag Race Down Under” showcases drag queens from Australia and New Zealand.
In the “Meet the Queens” video, Karna introduced herself as the “first-ever” drag queen of Filipino descent to join the competition. The 27-year-old contestant from Sydney vowed to showcase her Filipino roots on the global stage.
“I’m so excited to represent for my culture and show the world that Filipino drag is the f*cking one,” Karna said.
She will compete against nine other drag queens—Brenda Bressed, Vybe, Lucina Innocence, Nikita Iman, Mandy Moobs, Olivia Dreams, Freya Armani, Max Drag Queen, and Lazy Susan—for the title of “Down Under’s Next Drag Superstar.”
The previous winners of “Drag Race Down Under” were New Zealand’s Kita Mean (season one), New Zealand’s Spankie Jackzon (season 2), and Australia’s Isis Avis Loren (season three).
Hosted by Michelle Visage, the show’s new season will air on November 1 on WOW Presents Plus.
