EXO’s D.O. to release 1st full-length solo album; Details for ‘DO it!’ Manila leg revealed

D.O. of K-pop powerhouse EXO will return to the music scene with not only a new song but a full-length solo album.

Company Soosoo, D.O.’s agency, dropped a 33-second teaser of D.O.’s first full-length album, “BLISS” featuring the K-pop idol resting on a sun lounger and sipping on a blue lemonade.

D.O. spilled his refreshment on a table, making the ice cubes containing letters that spell out his album’s title slide from the glass.

The ending showed the release date of “BLISS,” scheduled for July 7.

Further details about the album, including titles and number of tracks, have yet to be announced.

Since his debut as a soloist in July 2021, the South Korean singer and actor, whose real name is Doh Kyungsoo, has been releasing mini albums. The latest was “BLOSSOM” in May 2024, which contains six songs including “Mars.”

D.O. surprised his fans with a major hair transformation, shifting from his natural black hair color to blonde, as seen on his album’s teaser.

“Doh Kyungsoo would never spill a drink and leave it… But blonde Kyungsoo will! We’re so ready for SummerSoo,” a fan commented on the teaser on YouTube.

“It’s normal for every idol in the K-pop industry to dye their hair blonde but for Doh Kyungsoo? We didn’t expect it, but we’re freaking excited,” another fan said.

D.O. is one of the main vocalists of EXO, a third-generation K-pop boy group who popularized the songs “Growl,” “Monster,” “CALL ME BABY,” “Tempo,” and “Love Shot,” among others.

Outside the K-pop industry, D.O. is known for his roles in several Korean dramas like “100 Days My Prince” and “Bad Prosecutor,” and in films like “Pure Love,” “My Annoying Brother,” “Swing Kids,” and “The Moon.”
