BONJOUR, Season 5!
The fashionable chaos of Emily in Paris is back with more dramas to serve as Netflix drops the official cast list for the upcoming season.
“We’re thrilled with the incredible response to this season of Emily in Paris and excited to return for a fifth to continue Emily’s adventures in Rome and Paris!” said creator Darren Star in a statement with Netflix.
The production is set to begin this summer, shooting the initial episodes in Rome this May. But worry not about leaving Paris for a while because the latter part of the series will move back to France.

“Emily’s going to have a presence in Rome,” added Star. “It doesn’t mean she’s not going to be in Paris, but she’s going to have a presence in Rome.”
Most of the major cast members are expected to return, including Lily Collins who play the titular character, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie Grateau), Ashley Park (Mindy Chen), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Guoery (Luc), William Abadie (Antoine Lambert), Lucien Laviscount (Alfie), Thalia Besson (Genevieve), and Eugenio Franceschini (Marcello).
But it seems one familiar face is bidding us au revoir this season. Camille Razat, who plays Camille — Emily’s chic Parisian friend-turned-rival and a central figure in the love triangle with Gabriel — is notably absent from the list of returning cast members for the fifth installment.
Netflix and Razat have yet to comment on this.
The fifth installment picks up where Season 4 left off, with Emily kindling a romance with a dashing Italian fashion heir and relocating to a stylish Roman apartment as she helps Agence Grateau expand with a new office in Rome.
Emily’s move to Italy to open a new office stems from creator Darren Star’s desire to “stay ahead of the audience and take them to unexpected places,” while also proving that “the show has the ability to have a bigger footprint.”
The fifth installment has big shoes to fill, following the immense success of Season 4, which debuted at No. 1 on Netflix’s Global Top 10. With 19.9 million views in its first four days, the season reached the Top 10 in 93 countries and remained on the list for four consecutive weeks.
