AFTER years of being together, Elisse Joson and McCoy de Leon have confirmed their break up on Friday, July 25. 

In an Instagram post, Joson released a statement affirming that she and de Leon have mutually decided to end their relationship. 

“We made that promise..to love, to fight, to stay. And truthfully, we both tried. We both held on for as long as we could,” captioned Joson. 

“But now, we’re learning to let go. Together, we’re releasing that dream… so we can finally allow a new kind of peace, growth, and healing to enter,” she added.

Joson quickly clarified that both she and de Leon remain on good terms with each other. She said that they will continue to be there for their daughter, Felize. 

“No matter how life changes, we will always belong to her. Her mommy. Her daddy. Her family. That will never ever change,” said Joson. 

She also added that there was “no need for speculations, no assumptions” as their break up was not easy for them. 

“We simply ask for kindness and respect as this story, and how it’s remembered, may one day shape what our daughter believes about love, family, and letting go,” she said. 

Joson and de Leon first met as housemates in Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 in 2016, quickly gaining a fanbase as the love team “McLisse.” 

Their romantic relationship blossomed after the show but eventually ended in 2018. 

In 2021, the two rekindled their relationship and shocked fans when they revealed that they had become parents to a baby girl named Felize. 

Since then, they had mostly kept their relationship low-key, occasionally sharing glimpses of their life as a family.
