A video circulated on social media where a puppy was rescued by a family after it was seen having trouble swimming in the middle of the ocean in Nasugbu.
According to the TikTok video uploaded by user Weign (@weighn16), her family was filming their island hopping moment and trip back to Club Punta Fuego in a private resort in Nasugbu, Batangas when a strange movement from the waters was caught on camera afar from their yacht.
Upon getting close to the scene, they immediately recognized that it was an animal – a puppy was drowning.
Everyone in the boat was panicking as they were preparing to save the puppy as soon as they got close to it.
The children in the video were heard shouting “doggy!” and “go and get a towel!” as soon as they picked up the poor animal. Weign claimed that the puppy seemed stuck for quite a long time in the ocean as it looked exhausted from swimming too long and too much trying to save itself from drowning totally.
Netizens were thankful to the kind family who rescued the puppy and expressed their relief in the comments, “After all the recent animal abuse that’s been happening rn (right now), this makes me feel happy that humanity still exists. More blessings for ppl (people) like you” user @luvsesi said.
The user left an update after netizens flooded the comments asking about the situation of the puppy after being rescued. “One of the staff members of Jet Water Sports in Nasugbu, Batangas, wants to adopt the poor puppy since they also live in town”. Wegin said.
