TIME is fleeting, and that’s why giving time to your loved ones – whether it be your family, friends, fur babies, or your partner – is essential to making core memories with them.
Sometimes you get so caught up with doing paperwork and schoolwork that you forget about what is essential: spending time with the people you love.
As per Stephanie Fallon of The Good Trade, core memories are special memories that significantly impact a person’s personality.
Core memories shape who you are, hence why it’s so important to make as much of them as you can, and you can’t do that without your loved ones by your side.
With that, here are the things you can do to spend time with your loved ones:
- Eat with your family.
There’s nothing better than sharing a meal at the family table, talking about life, and laughing together. You can prepare your family’s favorite food or plan a picnic date with them. This way, it can create positive reinforcement and open communication, which fosters a sense of belonging.
- Plan a staycation with your friends.
Planning a staycation with your friends is a great chance to reconnect, get to know one another better, and make lasting memories. Also, it is more affordable than traveling outside.
- Walk your pet.
Walking your pet in the neighborhood after a tiring day is another way to bond with your fur babies. It can also be a great form of exercise, and allow your pet to socialize with other pets.
- Plan a romantic date with your partner.
Calling a date romantic doesn’t require it to be extravagant—it could be walking outside, playing board games, taking pictures together, watching movies, stargazing, and anything that doesn’t require money.
- Try something new with your loved ones.
The first experiences are unforgettable, such as your first ride on an airplane, your first time petting your cat, your first time traveling abroad with your parents, and your first date. Trying something new is beneficial for you because engaging in new experiences will add to your core memories and foster personal development.
Do you know what’s the best thing about making memories? It’s making them with someone you truly love.
Memories stick with you for a lifetime. Nothing is permanent in life, and time is fleeting. The best way to enjoy it is to cherish it.
