AMERICAN star Connie Francis dies at 87.  

Known for her hits such as “Pretty Little Baby” and “Stupid Cupid,” in the 1950s and 60s rose to fame due to her sweet voice that became loved by many from different generations.

Just recently, her song “Pretty Little Baby” became a trending sound amongst short-video platforms such as TikTok and Instagram reels with Gen-Z’s lip-syncing to her lyrics.  

In May, she wrote a post on Facebook, thanking TikTok and its members for making her 1961 song viral after 63 years.  

“My thanks to TikTok and its members for the wonderful, and oh so unexpected, reception given to my 1961 recording “Pretty Little Baby”. The first I learned of it was when Ron called to advise me that I had “a viral hit.” She captioned. 

“Clearly out of touch with present-day music statistics terminology, my initial response was to ask: “What’s that?” She added. 

Last March, Connie Francis began posting about her being in a wheelchair to avoid undue pressure on her troublesome, painful hips. 

In early July, she again made a Facebook post sharing that she was undergoing medical tests to determine the cause(s) of the extreme pain she’s been experiencing. 

On the same day, she’s been transferred in the intensive care unit and was transferred to a private room. 

Her very last update was through a Facebook post when she wished everyone a happy Fourth of July. 

In a recent post made on Conne Francis’ account, devastating news struck the fans with a bad news regarding the star’s death/ 

“It is with a heavy heart and extreme sadness that I inform you of the passing of my dear friend Connie Francis last night,” Ron Roberts, the president of Concetta Records wrote. 

“I know that Connie would approve that her fans are among the first to learn of this sad news,” he continued. “More details will follow later.” 

Details of her caused of death is yet to be disclosed.
