Collegio San Agustin: ‘No bullying’ of Yasmien Kurdi’s daughter

by Deanna Macaranas

AFTER Yasmein Kurdi’s claim of her daughter being bullied at school goes public, Collegio San Agustin had released a statement to the matter.

Lawyers Joseph Noel M. Estrada and Willard T. Yung said, “the incident amongst students has been blown out in the public.” It was also written on how “there appears to be no bullying that happened on December 10, 2024 but rather a situation where students were discussing Christmas party preparations.”

The school said that they are handling the incident “with caution, circumspect, and confidentiality,” urging Kurdi to cooperate with them by refraining from sharing information about the minor students.

“We also caution Mrs. Soldevilla to refrain from sharing information about the minor students as this tends to put them in a bad light, embarrassment, and even ridicule not only in CSA but in the eyes of the public.”

The actress also said that Ayesha was surrounded by seven to nine kids from her class, blocked from leaving the classroom, and denied food and recess.

Earlier this December, Kurdi took on Instagram regarding the alleged bullying of her daughter. The actress claimed that her daughter, Ayesha was targeted by her classmates due to her inability to keep up with group messages about their Christmas party.

CSA statement added that the actress’ public allegations “may have unintended consequences on the student,” focusing on the privacy of students who are involved in the case.

“CSA supports raising awareness on bullying, but also mindful that the drawing or seeking unnecessary public attention does not help at all in the formation and correction of students and in eventually resolving their conflicts.”
