IN the latest Top 100 ranking of TasteAtlas, Chicken Inasal has been named as the best dish in the Philippines.
Released on October 16, Taste Atlas shared their Top 100 best Filipino dishes. The complete guide for the ranking can be found on their official website.
The blog stated that the ranking of the dishes are based on the ratings made by its audience on where it used a mechanism to identify real users. The website came to add that about 3,845 ratings were recognized by the aggregate food guide.
In the blog post, the Chicken Inasal in Bacolod was ranked 4.5 by TasteAtlas–stating it as the “signature dish” of the Visayas region.
Following the ranking of the Chicken Inasal dish is the Lechon with a ranking of 4.4.
Coming in third place is the sweet Filipino dessert Leche Flan with Bulalo going in fourth, and Lumpiang Shanghai in fifth with the same rank 4.4 rank as the Lechon.
With the top ranking of the Chicken Inasal, the blog post came to recommend the places with the best place that sells Inasal.
Meanwhile, Filipino dishes such as Sinigang na baboy, Tortang Talong, Lechon Kawali, Bicol Express, and Arroz Caldo also ranked 6th to 10th of the best-rated Filipino foods.
TasteAtlas is known to be an experiential traditional food guide that collates authentic recipes, food critics reviews, and articles that center on ingredients and dishes.
Last September, the blog released an article rating the worst Filipino dishes–naming “Balut” to be worst with a ranking of 2.7.
