Channing Tatum joins English dub cast of new ‘Demon Slayer’ film

CHANNING Tatum is joining the English dub voice cast for the forthcoming animated fantasy action film “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle.”

The 45-year-old Hollywood actor joins Rebecca Wang as the latest addition to the cast, lending their voices to Keizo and Koyuki, respectively.

Tatum shared his participation in the movie by sharing a screenshot of an article by Variety on his Instagram post. He said it is an honor for him to be part of the voice cast, and for that, he is “beyond grateful.”

“I still can’t believe I got to be a part of this. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to explain what it has meant,” Tatum, known for his roles in “She’s the Man” and “21 Jump Street,” among others, said.

“Still pinching myself,” he added.

Likewise, Wang expressed her gratitude for what she described as “the opportunity of a lifetime.”

“Words cannot describe how humbled I am to join the cast of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle!” the voice actress, who voiced Sung Jin-ah in the hit anime series “Solo Leveling,” said on X (formerly Twitter).

“I’m so grateful for this crazy life,” she continued.

Tatum and Wang join other English dub voice cast members, including Zach Aguilar as Tanjiro Kamado, Aleks Le as Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Johnny Yong Bosch as Giyu Tomioka, among others.

Philippine premiere

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle” is the first installment in the cinematic trilogy that adapts the final arc of the hit Japanese series “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.” Directed by Haruo Sotozaki, the movie centers on the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons. 

It will also feature two official theme songs, “A World Where the Sun Never Rises” and “Shine in the Cruel Night,” performed by pop singer Aimer and singer-songwriter LiSA, respectively.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle” will roll out in Philippine cinemas, starting August 20.

Fans may now avail movie tickets via SM Cinema’s website and ticket booths.
