BTS’ Jin set to drop first solo album in November

by Joanna Deala

AFTER completing his mandatory military service, Jin of K-pop sensation BTS has since been active in the music industry.

This time, he is set to release his debut solo album titled “Happy.”

Jin’s forthcoming album will be released on November 15, according to BigHit Music’s announcement on Weverse.

The album will contain six tracks, with each showcasing its “own unique vibe, all grounded in a band sound.”

“‘Happy’ is Jin’s heartfelt invitation for fans to join him on his journey to discover happiness,” the label said.

“With his sincere emotions and warm messages to his fans woven throughout ‘Happy,’ we hope the album brings joy to all of you,” it added.

Jin, whose real name is Kim Seokjin, will also hold various activities for his fans, collectively known as ARMY.

The news came four days after he released a special video for his 2021 song “Super Tuna.” In the clip, the K-pop star was seen at a beach to catch tuna.

Jin, the oldest member of BTS, is the first to complete his military service in June. The K-pop powerhouse shared group photos where Jin reunited with his fellow BTS members.

In July, he participated in the Paris 2024 Olympic torch relay as the official representative of South Korea.

BTS update

The rest of BTS members—RM, Suga, j-hope, V, Jimin, and Jung Kook—are still completing their mandatory military service.

J-hope, whose real name is Jung Ho-seok, will soon be discharged from the military, announced BigHit Music. However, the label said that there will be “no special events” to welcome j-hope back to prevent overcrowding.

The exact date of j-hope’s military discharge was not specified, but the label “strongly advised to refrain from visiting the site.”

“Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts,” the company said.

BTS is expected to reunite as a seven-piece group in 2025 after the septet completed their military service.
