Brigiding Earns Third RuBadge, Secures Spot in ‘Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale’ Finale

by RepublicAsia

THE ninth episode of Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale brought excitement among fans as the competition narrowed down to the final four queens.

This week, Brigiding earned her third RuBadge of the season, marking a significant milestone as only the second contestant in the show’s history, after Drag Race PH Season 3 winner Maxie Andreison, to achieve this feat.

The episode opened with a reflective exchange between the remaining queens, host Mama Pao, and judge Kaladkaren as they looked back on their journeys in the competition.

Brigiding’s moment stood out as she shared how lessons from her first season helped her develop into a more grounded and resilient performer.

The Maxi Challenge

For the week’s maxi challenge, the contestants wrote and recorded verses to “High Time” by REYN4—the newly formed girl group featuring Marina Summers, Maxie Andreison, Precious Paula Nicole, and Captivating Katkat.

Drawing inspiration from her personal and creative growth, Brigiding delivered lyrics that spoke to her evolution: “I’ve been through the fire, I’ve been through the storm. Rubirth. Rubranded. I was born to transform.”

Under the category “Award Giving Body-yodi-yodies,” the queens walked the runway in their conceptual looks inspired by self-created awards.

Brigiding introduced her “Kikinang Ina” trophy, symbolizing hope, resilience, and self-love.

In her presentation, she shared, “This award is a reminder that the light you seek is already within you—and that same light can guide others. As a drag mother, I shine not to outshine, but to illuminate the way for others to find their spark.”

A Place in the Finals

Brigiding’s performance not only earned her a third RuBadge and fifth challenge win overall, but also her position in the finale.

“I didn’t expect this win at all,” the drag queen said. “This experience has reminded me that humility builds strength. Each challenge taught me to stay grateful, grounded, and brave enough to shine again. I dedicate this to everyone who believed in me and helped me find my light.”

The episode concluded with a lip-sync showdown between Viñas Deluxe and Suki Doll to Morissette’s “Power.” Both queens advanced to the grand finale, setting the stage for a highly anticipated conclusion.

Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale is now streaming on WOW Presents Plus worldwide. Fans can also join the weekly D’Intervention Live Viewing Party at Rampa, starting at 6 PM.
