Social media personality Bretman Rock stirred some comments from netizens after an apparent swipe at Filipino-American actress Vanessa Hudgens over her repeated mispronunciation of the word “Palawan”.
The Hawaii-based influencer is currently enjoying a grand time having vacation in the islands of the Philippines, sharing numerous snaps of his adventure on his Instagram account.
In his time in the country, Bretman has done activities including snorkeling, driving a boat, kayaking, paddle boarding, and even trying tamilok–an exotic local delicacy of shipworms.
“It’s more fun in the Philippines,” he wrote in one post.
“This place is just as beautiful as my Mama 🌴🇵🇭 that’s why they call it Mother Land 🛶❤️ mentally I’m always home,” he captioned in his latest post.
Given his undeniable pride in his heritage, netizens could not help but compare him to Vanessa Hudgens who was named as the global tourism ambassador for the Philippines last March, saying Bretman should have gotten the role instead.
A certain @paulinaalano commented, “Vanessa Hudgens is shaking 🔥🔥🔥🔥” to which Bretman responded “b***h can’t even say Palawan 😫😫😫,” referring to Hudgens’ Instagram post last March.
Hudgens has yet to reply to Bretman’s post.
