BLINKS, are you ready?
South Korean Girl Group BLACKPINK will drop their first new song in about three years at their Goyang concert, the starting point of their world tour, this July.
In a statement released by YG Entertainment this June 23, they announced the details.
“The new song will be performed for the first time at the concerts held on July 5 and 6 at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium,” said YG.
“There was a lot of discussion about how to release the new song, and we ultimately decided to unveil it first at the Goyang concert, which marks the beginning of the world tour and a symbolic moment to reconnect with the fandom,” they added.
Kicking off with a concert in Goyang this July, BLACKPINK is set to embark on their world tour titled “DEADLINE,” which will span 16 cities and feature a total of 31 performances.
The tour will make stops in major cities including Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Toronto, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
This marks BLACKPINK’s third world tour and their first since wrapping up the “Born Pink” World Tour in 2023, which drew over 1.8 million fans globally and became the highest-grossing tour by a K-pop girl group to date.
In the meantime, the four members have remained focused on their solo careers, signing with new agencies or launching their own labels, partnering with major U.S. record companies, and releasing individual projects that showcased their distinct styles and global appeal.
