POP megastar Beyoncè’s “Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncè” is set to be released globally next month, and this time, the Philippines is among the countries that will screen the concert film.
Filipino fans of Beyoncè, collectively known as BeyHive, will have the opportunity to see their “Queen Bey” on the big screen starting December 1, SM Cinema announced on Thursday.
“Move out of the way, queen come through,” it said in a Facebook post.
The concert film, which will run for two hours and 50 minutes, will be screened in selected SM cinemas in the country.
Filipino BeyHive, meanwhile, expressed their excitement about “Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncè” and said that they have been waiting to see it.
SM Cinema’s announcement coincided with Beyoncè’s release of a new trailer for the concert film, where she talked about several challenges and how she had to be “tough” in a “very male-dominated” world.
“To balance motherhood and being on this stage. It just reminds me of who I really am,” the singer-songwriter said.
The trailer also showed spliced clips from her 56-stop “Renaissance World Tour,” which kicked off in Stockholm, Sweden in May 2023 and ended in Kansas City in Missouri, United States in October 2023.
According to its caption, the concert film centers on “Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft.”
The “Renaissance World Tour” is the pop megastar’s first solo tour since “The Formation World Tour” back in 2016.
This followed the release of her 16-track album “Renaissance” in July 2022, and as expected, Beyoncè performed several songs from her seventh studio album, including “I’m That Girl,” “Cozy,” “Cuff It,” “Energy (featuring Beam),” “Church Girl,” and “Summer Renaissance.”
Live Nation previously reported that Beyoncé’s 2023 concert earned more than $579 million, with over 2.7 million BeyHive across 56 stops attending the “Renaissance World Tour.”
