Belle Mariano is set to launch new album this January

by Joanna Deala

A NEW episode of the ongoing romance series “Can’t Buy Me Love,” top-billed by “new gen phenomenal love team” Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, is something that viewers anticipate every day.

But there’s more to be excited about, especially for Mariano’s fans, as the 21-year-old actress is set to launch her new album titled, “Solemn.”

ABS-CBN’s music label StarPop announced on Instagram that Mariano will launch her forthcoming album on January 27 at the SM North Edsa Skydome at 7 p.m.

Mariano also shared Star Pop’s post on her Instagram story.

Ticket prices for the actress-singer’s album launch range from P1,950 to  P3,950.

Further details about the “Solemn” album, including its track list, have yet to be revealed.

“Solemn” is the second part of her sophomore album. The first one was released in June 2023 titled “Somber.”

The first part of the album gives off a mellow vibe to listeners. It is filled with heartbreaking songs, as the album title suggests.

“Somber” has seven tracks namely: “Roadtrip,” “Session Road,” “Pansamantala,” “Running Out of Time,” “Bugambilya,” and “Somber and Solemn.”

In an interview with ABS-CBN in July 2023, Mariano explained that “Somber and Solemn” would connect the “Somber” album to the “Solemn” album.

It’s like a phase in one’s life where they navigate through tough times and find hope.

“Despite what you are going through in life, there’s always this peace, this calmness that you can look forward to,” she said.

The two-part album follows Mariano’s first full-length album “Daylight,” which was released in 2021.

Her seven-track debut album included “Sigurado,” which was part of the official soundtrack of the hit teen romantic-comedy series “He’s Into Her” which starred Mariano and Pangilinan, also known as DonBelle to their fans.

Song collaborations in 2023

Mariano’s music career had been active last year because aside from releasing “Somber,” she joined forces with indie folk-pop band Ben&Ben for the collaboration version of “Autumn” in December 2023.

This became a part of the official soundtrack of “Can’t Buy Me Love.”

The original version of the song by the nine-piece band was released in November 2023.

Before this, she teamed up with OPM band December Avenue for the single “Wala Nang Iba” in June 2023.

In July 2023, the actress-singer held her first solo live major concert titled “Beloved” at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
