BAREFOOT Theater Collaborative announced that “Mula sa Buwan” will have a rerun in August.
Myke Salomon, Gab Pangilinan and MC Dela Cruz will also return for their roles as Cyrano, Roxane and Christian.
Salomon will also return as musical director, Ohm David as set designer, Meliton Roxas Jr. as lighting designer, JM Cabling as choreographer, and Bonsai Cielo as costume designer. Mikko Angeles, who previously served as associate director, will lead the 2024 production.
“Mula sa Buwan” is based on Edmond Rostand’s classic “Cyrano de Bergerac” and Soc Rodrigo’s Filipino translation. It is about dreamers, fools, and misfits fighting for their place in society amid the war-torn landscape of 1940s Manila.
The play was written by Pat Valera and includes book, adaptation, and original lyrics, while William Elvin Manzano wrote the original music and original lyrics.

In December 2010, Valera staged “Cyrano: Isang Sarsuwela,” which is the original title of “Mula sa Buwan.” Then in 2015, with Manzano, they turned it into a bigger musical. “Mula sa Buwan” has been staged in 2011, 2016, 2018, and 2022. Last year, Barefoot Theatre Collaborative released the first proshot of the production.
“Mula sa Buwan” will have a limited run from August 16 to September 8, 2024 at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater at Circuit Makati.
Tickets for the opening week are now on sale at Ticketworld.
