#BagyongKristine’s effect

by Deanna Macaranas

WITH the now Severe Tropical Storm Kristine wreaking havoc in parts of the Philippines due to its long bandwidth and particularly affecting Bicol region, it showed many houses submerged in the flood.

The Severe TS Kristine is the 11th tropical cyclone of 2024 in the country and it has impacted the parts of Mindanao and almost all of Luzon and Visayas.

Malacanang, through Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, suspended classes today,October 23 due to the anticipated effects of the tropical storm.

With the continuous intensification of the tropical storm, netizens began sharing posts of the devastating effects of the typhoon, particularly in the area of the Bicol Region.

A video shared by a netizen on Facebook shows a man holding onto a coconut tree while the water attempts to sweep him away.

Churches and houses can also be seen being submerged in water.

The same situation can also be seen in Barangay Balocawe, Matnog, Sorsogon.

With the strong rainfall ends up making the road no longer passable by the vehicles.

Meanwhile, the same situation can also be seen in the area of Albay.

Water also entered a mall in Naga making the first floor unpassable.
