Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey collab on ‘yes, and?’ remix

by Joanna Deala

VOCAL powerhouses Ariana Grande and Mariah Carey are joining forces for a song.

Yes, you read it right. Grande was in a state of euphoria when she announced that she collaborated with the Songbird Supreme for the remix version of her latest hit song “yes, and?”

She shared the news in an Instagram post with a photo of her and Carey, whom she described as “queen of my heart and lifelong inspiration.”

For the 30-year-old singer-songwriter, such a collaboration was a “dream come true.”

“There truly are no words that suffice. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this dream come true and for sprinkling your brilliance and magic on my little song @mariahcarey,” Grande said.

“It means more to me than I could ever possibly articulate and I cannot wait for everyone to hear this! I love you eternally!!!!!!!” she continued.

Released on January 12, 2024, “yes, and?” marked Grande’s return to the music scene following her “Positions” album in 2020. It will be part of her seventh album “Eternal Sunshine,” which will be released on March 8.

The single officially debuted at no. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart last month, making it Grande’s eighth no. 1 hit to enter the chart.

On Grande’s post, Carey left a comment expressing her excitement for the remix version of “yes, and?”

“Darling angel, I am so effing excited to be joining you in the ‘yes, and?’ remix!! This is such a magical moment!!” the pop icon wrote.

The “yes, and?” remix will be out on February 16, Friday.

Past collab

The remix version of “yes, and?” isn’t the first time that the two vocal powerhouses worked together.

In 2020, Grande appeared in the remix version of Carey’s 2010 song “Oh Santa,” alongside Jennifer Hudson.

The three singers performed the song together live onstage at Madison Square Garden in New York City in December 2023.
