Animal Kingdom Foundation (AKF), known for its continuous campaign for better welfare for both companion and farm animals, is hosting the ‘Eggspectacular Food Fair’ in celebration of World Egg Day!
World Egg Day is celebrated yearly to promote eggs as an excellent, affordable source of high-quality nutrition, perfect to fill someone up for the day.
The ‘Eggspectacular Food Fair’ is an egg-themed food fair featuring some favorite food brands and local delights in the country.
The event will serve lots of goodies that fairgoers can munch on that use eggs as the main ingredient.
On its second run, the event stands as a pioneering endeavor in the Philippines as part of AKF’s ‘Cage-Free Go Cruel Free’ campaign.
The campaign aims to enhance the well-being of egg-laying hens by championing a poultry farming system that enables these hens to embrace their natural behaviors and enjoy a more comfortable life.
Extending beyond benefiting hens alone, the organization also aspires to foster a community that prioritizes the welfare of farm animals and ensures that foods are sourced with ethical considerations in mind.
‘Sp-egg-tacular’ event guests and brands
Adding star power to the event’s cause is AKF’s celebrity ambassador, Miss Sharmaine Arnaiz.
She will grace the stage to share with the audience how the campaign can further enrich lives and how food should not only taste good but also be humanely sourced.
Also joining the event are some culinary celebrities including Chef Tatung, Chef Marky, Chef Michelle, and Bounty Fresh’s Chef Dan Libunao.
Fairgoers can expect to be inspired by their eggs-ceptional skills as they bring the campaign’s message to life through the art of cooking.
Eggs-quisite brands such as Bounty Fresh, Pink Hen, Tipsy Cream Manila, Phil’s Corndogs, Casa Daza, and Seda Hotels will also be present to entice the audience with their best products and services.
The food fair will be held at Ayala Trinoma Malls Activity Center on October 8, Sunday.
