This marks Derulo’s first visit to the country nine years after his 2016 concert in the same venue, featuring rapper Redfoo as a special guest.
Further details about the event, including ticket prices, have yet to be announced, but tickets will soon be available at SM Tickets outlets nationwide.
Derulo is one of the popular artists that many millennials and Gen Zs listen to, particularly during their elementary and high school days.
He rose to prominence in 2009, with his debut single “Watcha Say.” This was followed by successive chart-topping songs in the 2010s including “In My Head,” “Ridin’ Solo,” “Don’t Wanna Go Home,” “It Girl,” “Talk Dirty,” “Trumpets,” and “Wiggle.”
Young listeners continue to get LSS, or Last Song Syndrome, with his songs until today. One example was the “Savage Love” trend that got many netizens dancing and singing on TikTok.
Derulo dropped his latest album “Nu King” in 2024, containing 27 songs including the viral track “Swalla” featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign.
The R&B star made a 2025 comeback with the song “Snake,” featuring Nora Fatehi.
Filmography
Derulo is not just an R&B star. He also ventured into acting, starring as Rum Tum Tugger in the 2019 musical fantasy film “Cats.”
He also played the role of Ronald Isley in the 2023 American biographical film “Spinning Gold.”
On the small screen, Derulo was named as a coach or judge in numerous reality shows like “So You Think You Can Dance,” “The Voice of Germany,” and “The Voice (Australia).”
