THE K-pop girl group aespa has set a new trend by announcing that a version of their forthcoming full-length album, “Armageddon” will include a portable CD player, a first for a K-pop group.
On their X (formerly Twitter) official page, the four-member group revealed that their highly anticipated album will have a distinctive CD player version (CDP ver.) that is scheduled for release on July 19.
This exclusive version includes the portable CD player, the CD with all 10 songs of the album, 5 photo cards, 10 highlight medley stickers (which can be used to decorate the CD player), and a lyric paper.
Dedicated fans of the group, MYs, couldn’t contain their excitement and took to X to express their anticipation, “This might be their most insane physical album ever,” one fan on X said.
Additionally, fans also praised the group and their production team for changing the course of the albums in the Kpop scene, “aespa’s [and their] team need a raise for this because this is so cool and genius,” one fan on X said.
