HEADS up, Filipino Blackjacks! Now’s your time to reunite with your idols as two former members of the iconic K-pop girl group 2NE1 are set to return to the country for a concert.

Local organizer Neuwave Events and Productions revealed that Park Bom and Minzy will share the stage in their “K-Blast Epic Party,” to be held on November 24 at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds.

The upcoming concert promises to be the “most epic party,” according to the organizers when they first announced the news in September.

Further details about the event, such as additional artists and ticket prices, will be shared by the organizer soon.

Minzy’s last visit to the country was in June 2023 for her solo concert at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.

She was initially set to perform at the K-pop concert “EPICON,” which was supposed to be hosted by fellow 2NE1 member Sandara Park, but the event was postponed “due to unforeseen circumstances.”

In 2021, Minzy released her latest singles “Teamo” and “Fantabulous.”

Bom was also in the Philippines in June for her first-ever fan concert at the New Frontier Theater. She dropped her latest singles “Flower” and “Remembered” in 2022.

2NE1 is a second-generation K-pop girl group composed of CL, Minzy, Bom and Sandara.

They debuted in 2009 under YG Entertainment, which also manages K-pop groups BIGBANG, BLACKPINK, WINNER and Treasure. The widely recognized quartet disbanded in 2016.

Blackjacks rejoice

The announcement made Filipino fans of 2NE1, also known as Blackjacks, abuzz as the concert will be a mini reunion for the two former 2NE1 members.

Many fans are suggesting for organizers to include the two other former 2NE1 members, Sandara and CL, in the lineup of artists.

Sandara, also known as Dara, last visited Manila in September, when she met P-pop kings SB19. This meetup escalated fans’ excitement as the artists are set to collaborate for a “special project” in December.

Meanwhile, CL released her latest studio album “Alpha,” in 2021.

Minzy, Dara and CL briefly reunited at the wedding of Korean singer Se7en and “My Girl” star Lee Da Hae in May 2023.
