P-POP boy group 1st One had its fans, collectively known as For Ones, dancing to its upbeat and energetic single “Wala Ng Iba,” which it first dropped in December 2024.
But this month, the six-piece act is ready to make For Ones feel even more special and loved with its Valentine’s gift: a soulful rendition of “Wala Ng Iba,” set for release on February 28.
The ballad version of its latest song is expected to highlight the vocal prowess and emotional range of members Ace, Max, Alpha, Joker, J, and Jayson.
In a press statement, 1st One expressed excitement for the release of the “Wala Ng Iba” soul version, which will feature “smooth harmonies and rich instrumentation” that resonate with Love Month.

“We wanted to give our fans something special this Valentine’s Day, and we felt that a soul version of ‘Wala Ng Iba’ would be the perfect gift to express our gratitude and love for their continuous support,” the group said.
1st One previously shared with republicasia that “Wala Ng Iba” is a song about love, devotion, and happiness.
But Ace, the group’s leader, said the song has a deeper meaning that reflects the listener’s own definition of love. For the members, “Wala Ng Iba” is about their love for their family and their passion for music and dance.
A fun fact about “Wala Ng Iba” is that it was written by Ace seven years ago before 1st One was formed and debuted in 2020. The lyrics of the songs evolved through the years, with the other 1st One members adding unique flavors to it.
Live performance
Prior to its February 28 release, 1st One performed live for the first time the ballad version of “Wala Ng Iba” on February 13 at a music concert in Parañaque City.
Several For Ones shared snippets of the group’s “Wala Ng Iba” live performance on TikTok, with some saying they felt the kilig when they heard the soul version.
Others, meanwhile, said on X (formerly Twitter) that they could not wait to hear the latest version of the song on music streaming platforms.
“Basta paniguradong slay ang instrumentation nito. Soul [version] na ‘yan oh, syempre mas may dating at super duper romantic nang pakinggan,” one fan said.
“‘Yun oh, bago din ba choreo nito mga bossing?” a For One asked.
Will fans see another TikTok dance challenge for the “Wala Ng Iba” soul version? That is what they have to watch out for once the heartfelt rendition drops!
