Fun activities to do in the south

HOW many times have you and your friends told each other to hang out at least for a day, but it never came true?

Don’t worry, you can make other plans again with them, especially this upcoming long weekend by the end of October.

Republicasia previously listed down several places in the northern part of the country where people can enjoy a serene vacation and recharge themselves.

This time, we made another list of a few fun activities that you and your friends can do in the southern part of the country if you are looking for more thrill and places where you can exhaust your energy.

Try indoor sports

There have been a lot of indoor games facilities established in the country, but if you want to try something new, this indoor mini golf course might catch your interest.

Pat’s Putts is a perfect place to be for kids, kids at heart, and people who are looking for an Instagrammable place, as it features a glow-in-the-dark mini golf course.

For a regular rate of P599, guests can have a two-hour access to the 27-hole golf course, provided with putter and a ball, and an all-day access to the game room and restaurant.

After playing golf for two hours, guests may continue playing at the game room, which features a variety of giant board games like chess, jenga, and tic tac toe.

What’s more fun about this new activity area is that visitors can play games while drinking. Pat’s Putts serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, and meals.

Rates range from P100 for those who only want to have access to the game room and the diner to P39,990 for those who will avail its exclusive venue rates.

Go to indoor amusement center

Excitement awaits at this indoor amusement center in a mall in Muntinlupa, which offers a wide selection of rides and gaming kiosks.

X-Site amusement center has “Dance Central” where you showcase your dance moves, “Kiddo Driving Skool” where children can learn to drive laps, “X-plo Drive” if you like driving bumper cars, and a variety of arcade game machines where you can win prizes.

Thrill seekers will also get a heart-dropping experience in the amusement park, as it houses the country’s longest and biggest indoor roller coaster called “X-Treme Coaster.”

In case you run out of energy while playing, stalls and stores for food and drinks are just around X-Site amusement center.

Get that horror experience

Halloween is approaching, which means it is time for some spooky fun.

You can get an ultimate horror experience at Nightmares Manila that features a variety of haunted and bone-chilling attractions with live actors and special effects that will definitely give you jump scares.

Nightmares Manila is a 5-in-1 walk-through attraction in Parañaque, which features haunted attractions, a zombie paintball, and escape rooms.

Two of its newest attractions are the haunted mansion called “House of Darkness” and a mix of an obstacle course and a haunted house called “Freakshow.”

Price ranges from P400 to P1499. 

The place also has its own cafe that serves a variety of meals, beverages, and sweet treats that you can get after a horrifying and fun experience in the walk-through attraction.

Ride an ATV, play paintball

A resort in Laguna called Woodland Villa has challenging activities for its adventurous guests, including an ATV ride and paintball.

For P500, guests in Woodland Villa may exhaust the right amount of adrenaline as they drive an ATV to explore nature’s terrain around the villa for 30 minutes.

If they want to unleash their competitive and strategic side, they may challenge their friends or family members in paintball. 

Prices for the team shooting sport range from P150 for 25 bullets to P2,000 for 500 bullets.

Learn scuba diving

Have you ever wanted to explore the deep seas? If the answer is yes, then you may try scuba diving in Batangas.

One of the resorts that offers diving experience to tourists is I-Jam Glamp and Dive Resort, where you can learn not only scuba diving but also freediving and snorkeling.

Among the classes that it offers are introduction to freediving, line training, and line and depth training. 

The resort also has accommodations where you can stay for your diving lessons. Visitors can either rent a tent or avail nipa huts.
