AT some point in our lives, we imagined ourselves starring in our own music videos, maybe even with a love team, singing a song made especially for us.
Whenever we see booming artists emerging from the crowd with nothing but talent and passion, we feel both proud and jealous. Jealous that someone made it to the industry ahead of us, and proud that someone new made it in the industry.
And one of the fortunate ones is Gloryen Limbo, a singer-songwriter hailing from Candelaria, Quezon, whose forte is indie rock.
Last October 29, Gloryen celebrated her 26th birthday by launching her self-titled extended play (EP) in a gig held at Kasmir Live in Poblacion, Makati City.
Dropped at the stroke of midnight, was the official music video for the EP’s title track, “Walang Kapalit.”
Other tracks in the EP are other songs previously released as singles, “Bago Ka Lumisan” and “Pagod Na.”
Also included in the six-track EP are songs composed and produced by Sandwich frontman Raymund Marasigan and one co-written with Yeng Constantino.
“The EP showcases pop-rock songs exploring love, life, and heartbreak themes,” Gloryen said in a press release.
