THE long wait is over as a new iPhone model was finally introduced to the public. 

As announced last Monday–the new model’s lineup had expanded the iPhone’s capabilities including on-device artificial intelligence use, upgraded video and audio qualities, and new active buttons.  

Aside from a software upgrade–colors such as teal, pink, ultramarine, black titanium, white titanium, natural titanium, and desert titanium are also included.

The use of Artificial Intelligence

In the previous “It’s Glowtime,” livestream, the latest generations of the iPhones are marked to be Apple’s biggest upgrade cycle in its history.  

In pursuit of the advancement of the generative AI revolution, all the latest line of iPhones will be powered by Apple’s AI software: Apple Intelligence. 

This will be integrated into the IOS 18 that will be released by October, which will allow iPhone users more customizations. 

Aside from customizations, the Apple Intelligence is also expected to make Siri (Apple’s virtual assistant) work better. 

The iPhone 16 uses an A18 chip with 8GB of RAM that is 30% faster and can support the Apple Intelligence. 

Aside from the speedy device actions, the upgraded chip will also improve the phone’s battery life.   

Sizes 

The latest iPhone models also feature bigger screen displays. The Pro model has increased screen size from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches. Meanwhile, the Pro Max’s version increased from 6.7 inches to 6.9  inches.   

Better camera quality 

Another improvement in the new iPhone is a better camera.  

According to BofA Global Research analysts, a 48-megapixel camera with an ultra-wide lens and a new capture button will give consumers more control and ability to zoom in and out on a subject. 

The price of the new iPhone model will range from ₱54,990 to ₱62,990 for iPhone 16 & iPhone 16 Plus and ₱69,990 to ₱84,990 for iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. 

Pre-orders for the iPhone 16 are set to be available starting Friday, September 13. Meanwhile, more models are set to be available in stores by September 20.
